December 8, 2008: Canal Digital and Relacom have today made public the signing of an agreement which will see Relacom take over responsibility for the operation and installation of cable TV, Internet and telephony for Canal Digital’s customers in Denmark. The two companies have already signed an equivalent agreement in Norway, where Relacom currently offers its services to over 300,000 Canal Digital customers.
The contract will see Canal Digital become the first Danish TV provider to choose to focus on the core competencies within the sales, marketing and product development of new digital TV solutions. Canal Digital will continue to focus on customer service and this new agreement with Relacom allows Canal Digital to achieve its expansion goals within cable TV since Relacom has offices and staff located all across Denmark. The agreement will initially span a period of five years and will come into effect in January 2009. The partnership will see a total of 17 technicians transfer from Canal Digital to Relacom.
