Relacom delivers new IBM cash register system to R-kioski

R-kioski is updating its entire cash register system this autumn. Relacom Finland Oy won its bid to become the provider of the cash register solution.

This autumn, R-kioski convenience stores will be replacing 750 of its cash registers with the far more compact IBM SurePOS 500 touch-screen cash registers. The cash register solution will be provided by Relacom Finland Oy, which will oversee equipment delivery, installation of the new cash registers and their maintenance services.

We gave special attention to the functionality and usability of the cash registers for the entire duration of their lifecycle. One advantage of this solution is the remote management software, which allows for preventive maintenance. This keeps the amount of time for servicing to a minimum, explains Rautakirja CIO Pentti Talikka.

Relacom has already overseen maintenance services for R-kioski cash registers for the past two years.
