Relacom takes over Fortum's preparation and field operations

Relacom has been entrusted with taking over responsibility for Fortum's preparation and field operations. The deal is significant since it involves a strategically crucial step in expanding Relacom's operations from the telecom industry and into the energy industry.

The contract transfers responsibility for Fortum's end-client assignments to Relacom in Värmland, Stockholm, Gävleborg, Dalarna, Halland och Bohuslän and project planning and preparation assignments in Värmland, Skaraborg, Halland, Bohuslän och Stockholm.Thanks to its existing construction operations, Relacom will be able to take on assignments within electricity supply network construction and thereby serve as a turnkey contractor for both Fortum and other electricity customers.

The contract takes effect on 1 January 2011.
